Routes & Capabilities
Every action the bot can take on a client's behalf — quoting a price, sending a floor plan, giving an address, booking a meeting — is a route, and you decide which ones are available. This is also the first place to look when the bot is quietly refusing to do something you expected it to do.
You'll find the panel at Configuration → Advanced → Routes & capabilities.
The Governing Rule
The bot can offer a route only when it is enabled here and has data behind it. Empty routes hide themselves automatically and show a No data badge.
Both halves have to be true. Turning a toggle on does not conjure content — if you enable Project PDFs but have never uploaded a PDF, the route stays hidden and the badge tells you exactly why.
That design protects you. If a toggle alone were enough, the bot would cheerfully promise a client a brochure that doesn't exist, a floor plan nobody drew, or an address you never entered — and then fail to deliver it, in writing, on WhatsApp. Instead the bot simply never raises the subject. It can only offer what you have actually loaded.
The Six Routes
| Route | What It Needs |
|---|---|
| Products & pricing | At least one product in your catalog |
| Project images | At least one project photo |
| Project PDFs | At least one project PDF |
| Masterplans & floor plans | A masterplan file, or any project PDF |
| Locations | At least one enabled address with an actual value |
| Meeting scheduling | Nothing to upload — this toggle controls automatic scheduling |
Two of these are worth reading twice:
- Masterplans & floor plans — this route accepts either a dedicated masterplan file or any project PDF, so it can come alive from documents you uploaded for another purpose entirely
- Locations — an address only counts if it is enabled and has a real value in it. A location that exists but was left blank does not satisfy the route
When Meeting Scheduling Is Off
Meeting scheduling is the one route that does not depend on uploaded content. It controls whether the bot books meetings on its own.
When it is on and a client asks for an appointment, the bot offers a self-serve booking link. When it is off, the bot does not send a link — it hands the conversation to a human agent instead.
Client: "Can I come see the model unit on Saturday?" Bot: [No booking link — the conversation is handed to a human agent]
So turning Meeting scheduling off does not mean booking requests get dropped. It means a person handles them. That is a reasonable choice when your availability is complicated, when appointments need to be qualified first, or when you simply want a human voice on every visit.
The handoff follows the normal rules — the conversation is routed to an available member of your team, and the bot goes quiet for that client. See Agent Assignment for who receives it and what happens next.
Why Isn't the Bot Offering Something?
This is the most common question about the bot, and it almost always resolves in these four steps. Work through them in order.
-
Check the route is enabled — open Configuration → Advanced → Routes & capabilities and confirm the toggle is on. A route that is off stays off, no matter how much content sits behind it
-
Check it has data — look for the No data badge next to the route. That badge means the toggle is on but there is nothing to send, so the bot stays silent on the subject rather than promising something it can't produce
-
Confirm the content is in the right place — products live in the Catalog; photos, PDFs and masterplans live in the Management hub; addresses live under Configuration → Scheduling. Content uploaded to the wrong section will not clear a route's No data badge
-
Test it end to end — ask the bot for the thing directly in the Internal Chat Tester. It runs the real bot without messaging a real client, so you see the actual behavior rather than guessing at it
If the route is enabled, the badge is gone, the content is in the right section and the bot still won't offer it, the problem is upstream of this page — most often the bot's instructions telling it to avoid the topic.
Who Can Change These
Only project admins can edit routes. If the toggles are visible but you can't change them, ask an admin on your team — or your Remo account manager — to make the change for you.
Uploading your first project PDF or adding your first catalog product can silently switch a route on, and deleting the last one switches it back off. After any bulk upload or cleanup, take thirty seconds to reopen this panel and confirm the bot's capabilities still match what you want it selling.
